Port Orford Cedar or Lawsons cypress is a whitish to pale brown heartwood with wavy streaks of light tan. Spicy fragrance with a texture that is fine and even. Easy worked with machine or hand tools but it can become vary hard. Port Orford Cedar works well with both nails and screws. Stains and paints well and is used for boat and ship construction, canoe paddles and oars, musical organs, furniture, cabinet work, and decorative panelling using knotty wood.Port Orford Cedar is fairly rott prof.
